Today, Marcus King detailed a headlining tour in support of his anticipated solo album, Young Blood, due to release on Aug. 26. The tour will kick off just weeks after the release of the 26-year-old's Dan Auerbach-produced project and extend from Sept. 9 through Oct. 27.
The headlining tour will see King hitting a number of notable venues from The Met in Philadelphia to the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. King will have two-night runs at New York's Beacon Theatre, Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, The Tabernacle in Atlanta and Seattle's Neptune Theatre. During the tour, Neal Francis and Ashland Craft will support on select dates, while Comedian Dean Del Ray will serve as host throughout the run.
“This fall tour is going to be our biggest one yet," said King. "It has been a long time in the making, playing some of our favorite venues in the country bringing a full night of Rock n Roll, love and laughs! Can't wait to bring this show to your town.”
In celebration of the tour announcement, we're premiering the official music video for the first song off of Young Blood, "Hard Working Man." The clip was inspired by the work of Quentin Tarantino and stars King as a young buck trying to make an honest living before the mystic of cold hard cash and a mysterious love interest pull him into a life of high-risk habits. The video features King's supersonic soulful vocals and phenomenal red hot guitar chops.
