Reprise, the Phish tribute act that recreates classic Phish shows in their entirety, will hit the road later this month for a series of Northeast dates. The quartet, which brings together guitarist Cal Kehoe (Pink Talking Fish), drummer Adrian Tramontano (Twiddle, Kung Fu, The Breakfast), keyboardist Scott Chasolen (Ulu, The Machine) and bassist Chris DeAngelis (The Machine, Kung Fu, The Breakfast), recently wrapped up a series of shows at Virginia Beach, VA’s Elevation 27 on Sunday, August 2, where they performed Phish’s classic August 9, 1998, show in its entirety. (That famed ’90s concert, which fell on the year of the third anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s passing, included Phish’s only version of Grateful Dead’s “Terrapin Station,” marking the first time the Vermont Quartet had covered the Dead live since the 1980s.)
The ensemble’s upcoming summer shows will all take place in Phish’s ancestorial home of New England, likely revisiting another round of seminal shows from the region. Those dates include a two-night run at Portland, ME’s Portland House of Music (8/27-28), a stop at Waterbury, VT’s Jam for the Parks (8/29) and an appearance at Brattleboro, VT’s Stone Church (8/30).
Looking ahead, Reprise have also announced a series of September and October dates. The newly announced stops include: Lititz, PA’s Mickey’s Black Box (9/10), Hartford, CT’s Infinity Hall (9/11), Pawtucket, RI’s The Met (9/12), Morristown, NJ’s Homestead (10/15), Pembroke, MA’s Soundcheck Studios (10/16) and Albany, NY’s Lark Hall (10/17). While Phish have performed near all the markers on the upcoming run, it is worth nothing that the group keeps their equipment in Lititz, PA and have used the space for rehearsals, livestreaming a full show from the space on December 31, 2021, after their Madison Square Garden play was postponed due to COVID.
