Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts will release a new album on September 18. This is the second studio effort from the group which also features Micah Nelson (guitar), Spooner Oldham (keys), drummer Anthony LoGergo (drums), and bassist Cory McCormick (bass).
The new album, titled Second Song, which features seven originals is now available for pre-order. Young has shared a lyric video for the 11-minute title track which reflects on passing through “the smokey leaves of time.”
Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts released Talkin’ to the Trees in 2025. The group toured in support of the record. Young canceled a 2026 summer Europe tour with the band, explaining, “Everything is OK. Just needed a break. Listening to my body." However, he will appear at Farm Aid in September 26 and has suggested that he’ll add additional dates as well.
